The Assignment

A new Hollywood home—and a lease built for the long term.

Entertainment Real Estate Services helped Catalina Bar & Grill identify and secure the larger venue at 6725 Sunset Boulevard for its 2003 relocation from Cahuenga Boulevard. The setting at Sunset and McCadden kept the club in Hollywood while providing substantially more room for live performance, dining and audiences.

The relationship continued after the move. In 2014, Bruce Stratton represented Catalina in the renewal of its 9,000-square-foot premises. REBusinessOnline reported a 15-year term and a total value of $5.5 million.

Specialized Venue Expertise

Venue real estate is operational real estate.

A jazz club must bring performance, dining, audience flow, access, parking, atmosphere and long-term economics together at one address. Finding Catalina’s larger Hollywood home—and later representing the club in a 15-year renewal—reflects the value of understanding the real operating requirements behind an entertainment venue.
